Stables plans announced!

A thriving business park near Towcester is looking to extend services with bespoke space for companies involved in production and research and development.

Regional technology parks operator Fasset is drawing up plans to convert 4,000 sq ft of workshops at Caswell Science and Technology Park, near the A43, with development once pre-letting agreements have been secured.

The current building, within the Stable Block, is part of 170,000 sq ft of mixed office, manufacturing and laboratory space over 25 acres amid rolling countryside.
Caswell has been transformed by Fasset into a successful multi-occupancy hub after being awarded a contract by anchor occupier Oclaro, a multi-national specialising in hi-tech optical components, two years ago to regenerate the site.

Caswell House, a former manor house with 33 work stations for start-ups and smaller firms, is now at full occupancy and international environmental and planning consultancy RPS has leased the ground floor of the Grafton Building, a 6,000 sq ft standalone office.
With growing interest from potential occupiers, Fasset is drawing up a blueprint that could see the workshops transformed into tailor-made facilities for firms which require production space as well as administrative offices.

Fasset’s sales executive, said: “Caswell presents tenants with a range of space solutions which can be tailored to meet individual needs, together with highly competitive costs and flexible lease packages.

“There are simply not many other locations around Northampton with the kind of size and flexibility of space, along with centralised facilities, such as the restaurant, mail, reception, cleaning and 24/7 security, that Caswell Science & Technology Park can offer.”
“We have a demonstrable track record in delivering fit-outs and layout options for discerning customers.”

The park is already home to production and manufacturing facilities – supermaterial coatings specialist Diamond Hard Surfaces moved in last year, leasing 1,500 sq ft.
Meanwhile Fasset continues to develop its offering of conferencing and exhibition facilities to external businesses and organisations following a successful event involving a UK trade association.
